Rb Reber Layout / Previs Reel 2024

With the recent release of the latest season of Marvel Studios’ What If...?, I figured it would be the perfect time to update my reel. I’m extremely proud to share a compilation of some of my personal favorite sequences from various projects I’ve had the pleasure of working on over the years.

I feel very fortunate and humbled to have worked on these amazing projects, and am forever grateful to the people who gave me the chance to show what I can bring to the table. Huge props to the entire team and everyone involved in making these shows!

Comments and critiques are always welcome. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you and hope you guys enjoy it! :)

Had so much fun and learned a lot by doing these sequences. With each sequence, I made it a point to have a personal goal and attain it. Also researched and studied a lot on different aspects of cinematography, which really helped me finish these sequences.

Captain America (Previs Practice)

My favorite Avenger. Huge fan of the Marvel films, and was inspired by Avengers: Age of Ultron for this one. Comments and critiques are welcome. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you and hope you guys enjoy it! :)

My personal goal for this piece was for me to practice and understand more how a chase or major action sequence while moving within the environment works. Did my research on chase/action sequences from different films, and how Marvel does it with their work.

Spider-Man (Previs Practice)

Inspired by the Spider-Man PS4 game.

Have been working on this whenever I have free time or not too busy. Mainly focused on choreography, camera movement, and continuity. Comments and critiques are welcome. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you and hope you guys enjoy it! :)

Also researched on Spider-Man's fight style, on how he particularly fights. My work is basically influenced by different fighting styles such as lucha libre, capoeira, and agile movements, flips, and poses we often see Spider-Man do himself.

Ant-Man (Previs Practice)

Practiced more layout (previs/cinematics) by doing a more action oriented sequence. Mainly focused on choreography, camera movement, and continuity. Comments and critiques are welcome. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you and hope you guys enjoy it! :)

I'm a huge fan of the Ant-Man movies, and wanted to try making my own "Kitchen Fight Scene" just like in the sequel. But this time instead of The Wasp, I wanted to show how Ant-Man would fare in the exact same situation. It was also really fun to emulate the shrinking/growing effect, just like in the films.

I got a lot of amazing feedback on my previous work from various people, which really helped me out a lot to create this new piece.

Compiled two of my latest personal layout/previs/cinematic sequences. Comments and critiques are welcome. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you and hope you guys enjoy it! :)

I've always wanted to dive deeper and get more into doing layout/previs, especially with me being so passionate about storytelling and cinematography. This was really fun to do, and I learned a lot from research and actually doing the work.
